I'm a full stack web developer, former coding bootcamp instructor, and recent graduate of the SANS/ICMCP Diversity Cyber Academy with over 10 years experience working in development. I'm a Certified Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT), Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), and a member of the GIAC Advisory Board.
I am a passionate supporter of progressive top-tier organizations, projects, and initiatives dedicated to serving the greater public good. I contribute my skills and talents to human-centered environments that thrive on positivity, enthusiasm, and joy. I believe relationships and communication are intentional practices. In this field that means mindfulness of the relationships between team members, end users, society and tech are key. Everyone should feel really good about the work that they do every day.
People > products, all day everyday.
Trace Labs is a Not-For-Profit organization with the mission of crowdsourcing the collection of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) to generate new leads on missing persons cases to assist law enforcement.
I particiapted in the 06.2021 Global OSINT CTF event along with three other team members, where we placed 123rd out of 171 teams. We successfully captured 19 flags across four missing persons cases.
This project began as an example codebase for Deep Dive Fullstack Bootcamp students - a fully functional, secure, end-to-end simple CRUD application using the bootcamp curriculum and JavaScript stack. It began life as a PHP and Angular.js project. (That legacy codebase is on GitHub.) This app has been completely rewritten no less than three times, and refactored about eight times since 2015. 🙀 I've grown somewhat attached, and I still like to play with it.
